If everything goes according to plan, the first dog cafe in the Netherlands will soon open its doors in Groningen. Kwispel is a cafe and doggy day care in one. It is a small-scale daycare for dogs from the neighborhood and at the same time a cozy living room for visitors. The cafe is truly a second home, for both humans and animals. Visitors are free to cuddle with the dogs, sit together on the couch or play! Workshops and theme afternoons strengthen the connection between humans and animals. By the way, it is not possible to bring your own dog, which is a pity! The dogs are cared for at the doggy day care in a homely environment and have dog houses where they can walk in and out freely. Dogs can be brought by their owners in the morning for a number of days a week and picked up again in the evening.
The initiator of Dog Café Kwispel is Marijke Haaksema, who would like to realize the dog café through crowdfunding.
