Beloved DJ and animal lover Gerard Ekdom is rallying listeners to nominate their adorable companions—no need for beauty or brains, just pure niceness. The winner earns the prestigious title, plus a professional on-location portrait shoot and a stunning photo portrait. This heartwarming campaign, partnered with Purina, unfolds over the next two weeks on Radio 10's morning show.
Radio 10 DJ Gerard Ekdom shares: "We're going big. All pets, from large to small, can participate in our election. Cats, lizards, parrots, guinea pigs, or stick insects—we can't wait to be surprised. It's going to be a great quest!"
Pet owners can register from today until Sunday, September 26 at 1:00 PM by submitting a photo or video of their furry (or scaly) friend, along with a short motivation, via radio10.nl. Nominees will be revealed on Monday, September 27. Voting opens then and runs until Monday, October 4 at 8:00 AM. The grand finale airs that same day—World Animal Day—on 'Ekdom in the Morning,' crowning the nation's cutest pet.
