New Study Reveals How Pets Affect Your Sleep Quality

How can our pets affect our sleep? That was found out in a new study. The study found that 56% of pet owners allow the animals to sleep in the bedroom. Of this group, 20% described their pets as disruptive to sleep, but more than twice as many participants (41%) felt their pets had either no effect or any benefit on sleep.

Some interesting findings:
87.5% of respondents let their pets sleep in their beds.
Almost 60% reported that their pets had either no or beneficial effects on their sleep deprivation – a significantly higher percentage than the prior study.
About a quarter of those surveyed (24.1%) reported sleeping worse because of pets.
16.7% were sure their pets affected their sleep.
71, 6% people with bed partners report sleeping worse with pets in the bed than those without bed partners.
32% people without bed partners report sleeping better with pets in the bed than those without bed partners.
